Peek Gai Tod Nam Bplah or Fried Chicken Wings in Fish Sauce as it would be called in English, is a super quick, delicious Thai dish. It only requires three ingredients, nothing exotic or hard to find. If you have your essential Thai sauces in your kitchen and some chicken wings then you’re good to fry. Stock is the only other ingredient you will need. Oh do not forget a nice sweet chilli sauce for dipping.

Fried Chicken Wings is a kids favourite, it makes a quick tasty lunch or snack or can be a great accompaniment for a few drinks in the evening. To prepare your Peek Gai Tod Nam Bplah just follow my simple recipe.

Ingredients

  • 6 chicken wings
  • 3 tbsp fish sauce
  • 1/2 tbsp chicken stock

What you will need.

Method

  1. Score your chicken wings a few times on each side and place in a bowl.
  2. Mix the stock and fish sauce and pour over the chicken, then leave the bowl in the fridge for 30 minutes to marinate.
  3. Heat a shallow amount of oil in your wok and fast fry the chicken for a couple of minutes on each side.
  4. Remove the chicken form the oil, remove any excess oil by placing on some kitchen roll, then serve.

To Serve

Serve on a large plate with some sweet chilli sauce or any dipping sauce you fancy.
