Shrimps in Sarongs

Gung Sarong

Serves 2 Cooks in 40 minutes Difficulty Easy

This is a really fun recipe to try for a delicious Thai snack. We call this dish Gung Sarong, gung being the Thai word for shrimp. The Sarong is made from noodles that are wrapped around the shrimp.

Although simple to make, when mastered properly this can be a fancy side dish for a larger Thai meal. It’s usually the more upmarket Thai restaurants that offer Gung Sarong on their menus. It’s a great one to impress your friends.

All the ingredients are simple and you should have no problems sourcing what you need from a decent supermarket.

Ingredients

  • 10 shrimps
  • 1 handful of yellow noodles
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 1 coriander root
