Stir fried shrimp with garlic and black pepper

Gung Pad Kratiem Plickthai

Serves 2 Cooks in 20 minutes Difficulty EASY


  • 10 shrimp
  • 8 cloves garlic
  • 1 tsp black pepper corns
  • 2 coriander roots
  • 1/2 tomato, cut into segments
  • 1/2 onion, cut into segments
  • 1 sweet chilli, chopped
  • 1 spring onion, chopped 2cm long
  • 1 tbsp crispy garlic
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1/2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp fish sauce
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 150ml water
  • Oil

What you will need.


  1. Smash the garlic, black pepper and coriander roots in a pestle and mortar.
  2. Heat 2 tbsp oil in your wok or frying pan.
  3. Add the smashed garlic, black pepper and coriander and stir well.
  4. Add the shrimps, stir well and then add the onion, tomato, spring onion and sweet chilli.
  5. Add the water, oyster sauce, soy sauce and fish sauce and stir well until everything is cooked.

To Serve

Serve in on a large plate or bowl. Eat with steamed Jasmine Rice.
