Apple from the most popular thai cooking class in Khao Lak

A Warm Welcome to my Khao Lak Thai Cooking Class

Hi, my name is Apple and I would love to show you some of the secrets of Thai cooking at my Khao Lak Thai cooking class. I have created a cosy kitchen in the local countryside surrounded by lush green nature.

I learnt to cook food the traditional way, helping my Mama in the kitchen from an early age. I have also run a popular Thai restaurant and more recently I cook daily for my guests at my popular guest house.

I enjoy meeting people from all over the world and sharing my experience of cooking Thai food. Even if you are a beginner in the kitchen, please don’t worry. After a few hours you will be able to prepare and cook your favourite Thai dish and most importantly, we will enjoy eating together when we are done.

What You Will Learn to Cook

Some Thai cooking classes have fixed daily menus but I am much more happy for you to choose your own favourite Thai dish to cook.

Each guest can choose their particular favourite from my extensive menu. This means you also get to learn what the others are cooking too.

If your favourite Thai dish doesn’t feature on my menu contact me and let me know what you would like to learn. This is your class after all.

WHAT TO COOK

Spring Rolls are Always Included

Learning to make Thai spring rolls is always a firm favourite with my guests and they are often requested. Rather than take up one of your choices I include spring rolls as our appetiser for free with every class.

I have a special recipe for my spring rolls. I can not say more here as it’s a secret ingredient that makes them extra spicy and tasty. If you have made spring rolls before we can always try different ways to prepare the fillings. Spinach and cheese is one of my favourites.

For children we can make pizza style fillings. They are delicious and kids just love them!

Vegetarian, Vegan and Gluten Free

Thai cuisine offers many delicious options for vegetarians and vegans. I have included a few on my menu but I can also adapt other Thai dishes to suit your requirements.

If you have a gluten allergy, do not worry there is plenty of gluten free Thai food for you.

I will also include my free recipe for a vegan alternative to fish sauce, one of the core ingredients used in Thai cooking.

Thai Cooking Classes For Children

I often get asked if my cooking classes are suitable for children and the answer is a simple and honest YES. Children are more than welcome at my Khao Lak Thai cooking class.

It’s a great pleasure to teach children about food. After all that is how I learnt to cook, as a child helping my mother.

Small Class Sizes

I like the saying “too many cooks spoil the broth” and I have always kept this in mind when I started my Thai cooking class. So you get the most out of the time you spend cooking with me, I limit my class size to eight cooks.

I Really Hope You Will Cook With Me

I have put a lot of time and love into my Riverside Thai Cooking Class and I feel that I offer a fun and unique Thai cooking experience right here in Khao Lak. It would be great if we can learn to cook your favourite Thai food. You can then make again once you get home and impress your friends with your new Thai culinary skills.

New for 2024

Recently I moved my classroom into the countryside, to a new larger venue with better cooking facilities. The class is surrounded by trees, plants and hills which makes for a beautiful backdrop whilst we learn. I am also growing some of our essential ingredients there too.

I have added more new dishes to my Thai menu for 2024. Many of the new items have been requests from guests, so if you have a particular Thai favourite not on my menu I can always adapt my class to suit. View my menu here.

I really hope you will come and enjoy with me. If there is anything you would like to ask me or if you would like to reserve your place, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Due to popular demand I have recently added Khao Soi to my menu. This is a very famous dish from the Northern region of Thailand. Most people know the dish as Khao Soi, in English it would be Northern Thai Coconut Curry Soup. My recipe is with chicken.
